The scheduled operating hours above reflect the times the rides inside Pacific Park are scheduled to operate. Some rides may be closed or on rotation based on conditions and traffic on the pier. Other amusement park facilities, including the food court, may be open later based on demand. Hours are subject to change with little notice.

Is the Santa Monica Pier Open?

Yes! The Santa Monica Pier is open daily from 6 AM – 10 PM, every day of the year including holidays. Individual pier businesses, including the rides at Pacific Park like the Ferris wheel, have operating hours that vary from day to day. See above for the operating scheduled for Pacific Park. What time does the Santa Monica Pier Close?

The Santa Monica Pier closes at 10 PM daily. Other pier businesses may close earlier or stay open later depending on the season and for special events. What are the hours for the Santa Monica Pier?

Hours for individual businesses on the Santa Monica Pier vary daily. The pier opens to the public at 6 AM and guests are asked to leave before 10 PM. Rides run daily, weather permitting, and generally start around 12 Noon. A full schedule of ride operations is available above. Other businesses may post different hours.

Limited Operations

During off-peak months and on days when inclement weather is forecast, the Park sometimes goes into limited operation, particularly earlier in the day. This decision is usually made on a day-by-day basis contingent on the weather and number of people in the Park. Limited operation means we will have a limited number of rides, games, or food outlets open, or that we will have parts of the Park closed completely. Typically, limited operation means our family share rides and midway games will be in rotation and that we will have a limited number of food & beverage carts open. Our main dining options (Beach Burger, The Pacific Wheel Pizza Company, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and Scoops Ice Cream and Treats) and marquee rides (Pacific Wheel, Sea Dragon, West Coaster) are typically unaffected by these types of rotational operations.
