Santa Monica Pier Turns 115 with Big, Barbie-Themed Bash!

Get ready to celebrate 115 years of the Santa Monica Pier with an epic birthday party on Friday, September 6!

Enjoy a showing of the Barbie movie, live music from a Barbie-themed band, and multiple tasty treats. Packed with surprises, this is a celebration you won’t want to miss.

What’s the Schedule?

Entry to the event begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by a live performance by the world’s first “Barbiecore” band, Pinkstastic Plastixx, at 6 p.m. Then, as the sun sets over the Pier, get settled in for a family-friendly outdoor screening of the Barbie movie at 7:30 p.m, brought to you in partnership with Street Food Cinema. There’ll also be a range of kids’ activities, including games and face painting. In addition, poetry lovers can listen to a special poem by Santa Monica’s Poet Laureate, Anne Carmack, dedicated to the Pier’s 115th birthday.

And the food? Of course, no one is going to forget about birthday cake and ice cream. Pier Burger will be serving up special birthday treats, including a custom Pier-themed cake for the first 115 attendees and a limited-edition Concrete (custard) flavor available for purchase throughout September. Plus, enjoy a variety of delicious food, drinks, and treats from local vendors, and make sure to visit the Beer Garden (21+) for a refreshing brew by the beach.
