Love, Victor Ferris Wheel
WHEN:
June 3 – 15, 2022
WHERE:
Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier
Set in the world of the original 2018 film “Love, Simon,” the Love, Victor series follows Victor, a new student at Creekwood High School on his own journey of self-discovery, facing challenges at home, adjusting to a new city, and struggling with his sexual orientation. When it all seems too much, he reaches out to Simon to help him navigate the ups and downs of high school. In both the film and series, integral moments in the story happen on a Ferris wheel. Being the most celebrated wheel on the West Coast, Hulu and Disney+ worked with Pacific Park to bring this experience to the Pacific Wheel in Santa Monica. There will be similar events happening in West Hollywood and Washington DC.
Fans can win ride tickets for the Pacific Wheel from Hulu and Disney+ from June 3 – 15. Find more information on their social media channels. @LoveVictorHulu or on @DisneyPlus.
This fun event also coincides with SoMo PRIDE: a month focused on family-friendly displays and activities that safely celebrate our city’s inclusive and diverse spirit at the Santa Monica Pier, Downtown Santa Monica, and Santa Monica Place, in collaboration with the City of Santa Monica and Santa Monica Travel and Tourism. Officially designated LGBTQIA+ Pride Month by the City of Santa Monica, SaMo PRIDE will focus on art, events for people of all ages, and community connection. Support our LGBTQIA+ community and pay tribute to love in every color. The city-wide celebration in June is anchored by “Miles of Pride,” a vibrant light installation spanning the Third Street Promenade and Santa Monica Place. Other city landmarks, including City Hall, Santa Monica Pier, and the Main Street Santa Monica Travel and Tourism visitor’s center, will also service lighting displays as an extension of “Miles of Pride.” These installations will illuminate the sky with a rainbow of colors and serve as a backdrop for a full calendar of events that bring together community, families and supporters from around the world.
