Movies filmed on the Santa Monica Pier
test2 -films-and-tv-shows-filmed-at-the-santa-monica-pier-in-california

The Santa Monica Pier is one of the most-filmed locations in Los Angeles and has starred in hundreds of movies, music videos, commercials, and TV shows. The Pier offers storytellers a unique landscape with sweeping ocean views, wide, sandy beaches, plus an amusement park and classic boardwalk midway. Pacific Park’s bright blue and pink walls have served as the background for countless music videos and commercial shoots, and who could forget all those romantic moments captured on the Ferris wheel?

The earliest movie filmed at the Pier was the Charlie Chaplin film, “Tillie’s Punctured Romance” in 1914. Since that slap-sticky comedy movie, the Pier and its internationally recognized Ferris wheel (which opened in May of 1996) has been Hollywood’s favorite location for romantic walks along the boardwalk, thrilling roller coaster shots, and scenes of happy youngsters winning a prize in the midway.

This list represents some of the best-known movies that were filmed at the Pier, and a few lesser-known gems.
