Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier Closed Due to Pacific Palisades Fire
Published on January 8, 2025
Pacific Park’s rides and games on the Santa Monica Pier are closed in alignment with guidance from County and City officials to encourage residents and visitors to stay clear of streets in and around Santa Monica. This direction follows fire-related concerns from the Pacific Palisades Fire in Los Angeles County.
In an early Wednesday morning press conference with LA County and City officials, residents and visitors are asked to avoid non-essential travel in northern portions of Santa Monica to facilitate evacuations and assist first responders. Additionally, unnecessary travel to the Westside of Los Angeles is strongly discouraged at this time.
The safety and well being of Pacific Park’s guests and employees remain the park’s highest priority. Pacific Park continues to work closely with the City of Santa Monica and monitor updates and directives from the Los Angeles County emergency responders.
