P!NK Ferris wheel lighting at the Santa Monica Pier

The Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel will be lit pink on Wednesday, December 6, for the announcement of P!NK’s summer concert tour returning to LA.

A year after the unveiling of her record-breaking 2023 Summer Carnival Tour, today, the global music sensation P!NK announces her return to stadiums across North America starting next summer. Produced by Live Nation, the 17-city 2024 Summer Carnival Tour kicks off on August 10th at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, MO, and includes a return to her hometown of Philadelphia, and more before wrapping up in Miami’s loanDepot park on November 23rd.The tour will feature special guest, friend, and award-winning artist Sheryl Crow, along with The Script, and KidCutUp as support across all dates. The concert tour will return to LA with a September 2024 date at Dodger Stadium.

Pacific Park is partnering with Live Nation to light the Pacific Wheel pink for the evening in conjunction with their announcement. This special lighting event will take place on the evening of Wednesday, December 6. The Ferris wheel lights can be seen from dusk until 11:35 PM each evening. P!NK’s Summer Carnival 2024 tour follows the success of her monumental 2023 run which shattered attendance records worldwide. The previously announced dates have boasted over 3 million tickets sold and a staggering $350 million grossed across dates in Europe, the UK, North America, and forthcoming Australia, and New Zealand dates.

Fans can expect to see P!NK perform an epic high-energy set including her biggest hits like “So What”, “TRUSTFALL”, “Just Give Me A Reason”, and more. The tour’s production will feature P!NK descending from the rafters, including jaw-dropping aerial acrobatics, pumping dance routines and vibrant costume changes.

Pacific Park regularly programs the Ferris wheel to display seasonal programing and themed light designs for holidays and special occasions. The Pacific Wheel’s state-of-the-art lighting package was installed in 2016 and can display over 1.6 million different colors and animate patterns and icons in 24 frames per second. The energy efficient LEDs on the face of the Ferris wheel are powered by solar arrays inside Pacific Park. The light programs are curated and designed by Pacific Park staff. Each design is manually animated; some designs can take hours of programming. The aim is to provide fun, high-energy, and sometimes whimsical designs to entertain guests on the Santa Monica Pier and surrounding beaches.
