SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR

Published on October 1, 2025

Pacific Park celebrates K-Pop sensation SEVENTEEN with a special Ferris wheel lighting at the Santa Monica Pier. From October 15 -17 we’ll be lighting the Pacific Wheel in SEVENTEEN’s colors.

The popular South Korean boy band is performing in LA on the 16th and 17th of October.

Time to get excited! The group’s “SEVENTEEN World Tour [NEW_] THE CITY” project is back, and with some special upgrades. The group has partnered with Airbnb to expand the event on a larger scale. Fans can experience SEVENTEEN’s music and culture through various events. This includes fan events, pop-up stores, and food and beverage collaboration programs running from the 10th to the 15th of October.

Plus, as part of the five-day celebration, major LA landmarks will be lit up with SEVENTEEN’s theme and colors. And this, of course, includes our world-famous Pacific Wheel.

More about SEVENTEEN

SEVENTEEN have rocketed to the forefront of the music scene fueled by a fiercely independent spirit and a nonpareil in-house creative ecosystem. The 13-piece act’s innovative structure hinges on the interplay of three units: hip-hop, vocal, and performance. Holding the titles for the two best-selling K-pop releases of all time—FML (Apr 2023) and SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN (Oct 2023)—SEVENTEEN went on to solidify their global presence as FML (with more than 6.4 million copies sold) became the IFPI-certified top-selling album worldwide in 2023. They soared to new heights in 2024, making history as the first K-pop act to perform at Glastonbury and headline Lollapalooza Berlin, while also becoming UNESCO’s first-ever Goodwill Ambassador for Youth. Crowned ‘Best Group’ at the 2024 VMAs and ‘Top K-pop Touring Artist’ at the 2024 BBMAs, SEVENTEEN became the highest-ranking K-pop act on IFPI Global Artist Chart 2024, propelled by the success of their 12th Mini Album SPILL THE FEELS. Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, the K-pop icon have blazed a new trail of reinvention with their 5th Studio Album HAPPY BURSTDAY—which debuted at No.2 on the Billboard 200, tying their highest record. The group’s touring success has been equally remarkable, ranking No. 1 among K-pop acts and No. 3 overall on Billboard’s 2025 midyear Boxscore charts. No wonder there’s a SEVENTEEN Ferris Wheel Lighting at Santa Monica Pier.

More about the SEVENTEEN Pacific Wheel Light Show

Pacific Park regularly programs the Ferris wheel to display seasonal programing and themed light designs for holidays and special occasions. We installed the Pacific Wheel’s state-of-the-art lighting package in 2016. It can display over 1.6 million different colors and animate patterns and icons in 24 frames per second.

Solar arrays inside Pacific Park power the energy-efficient LEDs on the face of the Ferris wheel. Pacific Park staff curate and design the light programs. Because each design is manually animated, some designs can take hours of programming. The aim is to provide fun, high-energy, and sometimes whimsical designs to entertain guests on the Santa Monica Pier and surrounding beaches.
