Pacific Wheel and KOOZA: The Ultimate Pier Experience

Cirque Du Soleil’s newest production KOOZA is now on under the Big Top at the Santa Monic Pier! KOOZA combines acrobatic performance and the art of clowning, while exploring fear, identity, recognition and power. It follows “The Innocent” as his  journey brings him into contact with comic characters from an electrifying world full of surprises.

And while you’re on the Pier, why not take a ride on Pacific Park’s famous, solar-powered Ferris wheel? Towering high above the bay, you’ll experience eye-opening views of the Santa Monica coastline. That usually means bright sun and sea breezes during the day, and a stunning expanse of glittering lights after dusk.

How to Ride the Pacific Wheel When You Visit KOOZA

Just a few steps away from the Big Top and KOOZA is the Pacific Wheel—the world’s only solar-powered Ferris wheel. It has been a feature of the Pacific Park amusement park since 1998 and has become a world-famous attraction.  The Wheel has featured in more than a thousand movies, television shows and commercials, music videos, print ads and social media posts.

Each year, millions of riders enjoy incredible views of the Pacific Ocean, Santa Monica coastline, Catalina Island, Malibu, and Palos Verdes Peninsula from more than 130 feet above the Santa Monica Pier.

The current Pacific Wheel measures 85 feet (26 m), and moves at 2.5 revolutions per minute with intermittent stops to pick up passengers. It also presents custom, computer-generated lighting entertainment each evening. It’s pretty eye-popping!

To ride the Pacific Wheel before or after KOOZA, simply enter Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier, purchase a ride pass from the Ticket Booth and get on board!
