Come show your holiday cheer at Storytime at the Pier!
Want to tell your children about all the holiday stories from your childhood, but can’t quite get the stories right? Don’t worry! You’ll have the perfect opportunity to refresh your memory while enjoying an ocean view this winter season when the Santa Monica Public Library hosts Storytime at the Pier!
On December 13th, a library representative will be reading holiday stories inside the classic Looff Hippodrome building next to the Carousel at 4 & 5 PM. Along with narrations of the most famous holiday stories, ranging from to Santa Claus to Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, this free event will also offer opportunities for young ones to create crafts inspired by the Pip & Pop art installations in the Hippodrome windows.
After you’ve listened to holiday tales and created your own artwork, Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier is only a few yards away from the Looff Hippodrome, and has exactly what you need to feel just like a kid again. Continue your stroll down memory lane by getting a good look at the California coastline during a ride on the world-famous Pacific Wheel. You can finish the day off with the perfect holiday delight from Scoops Ice Cream and Treats!
